A Taste of Ireland
Irish coffee was invented in 1943 at the Foynes Airbase in Ireland by chef Joe Sheridan, who added whiskey to coffee to warm cold, weary passengers arriving on transatlantic flights.
The Authentic Method
True Irish coffee is NOT a mixed drink—you sip the hot coffee through the cold cream layer. This creates a temperature contrast and allows the cream to temper the whiskey's bite.
Why Chaga Coffee?
Chaga Coffee pairs beautifully with whiskey. Chaga's naturally robust, earthy notes complement Irish whiskey's caramel sweetness, while providing immune-supporting benefits.
The Perfect Pour
To float the cream:
- Whip cream to soft peaks (not stiff)
- Pour over the back of a spoon touching the surface
- Let it rest on top—don't stir!
